GLITCHED was created by taking everything we love and putting it into one place. It has a little something for everyone be it your favourite comic book, what to binge on Netflix this weekend,or your favourite games and tech. The idea that one can love all the cool things is not hard to comprehend, you just need to find a place for it. That place is GLITCHED..

One of the most cliche genres in VR gaming is the shooter. It makes sense given the features available in virtual reality gaming that shooting games are more popular than others. However, replicating a more realistic shooting experience in VR requires a different controller to simulate a so-called “gun model”. On the original PlayStation VR, Sony actually released its own PlayStation VR Aim Controller for the hardware that had a gun design and trigger system. However, on the new PS VR2, the company hasn’t announced any additional controllers as of yet. Thankfully, third-party manufacturers are already on the job.

So far, two companies have announced gun accessories for the PlayStation VR2. The first is ProTubeVR which is well-known for its wide range of VR accessories. ProTubeVR doesn’t only make additional VR components which turn Meta Quest Pro and Pico VR units into weapons, it also develops flight accessories too. The company also makes a ProSaber Sword accessory for Beat Saber and Kayak VR.

ProTubeVR announced on Twitter that the company is currently working with the PS VR2 to make gunstocks available for the unit. While there’s no look at the design yet, it is good to know that users will soon be able to transform their controllers into more realistic weapons.

We officially confirm that we are working hard on the #PSVR2 cups design to make our gunstock compatible with this bad boy!

Another company working on a VR gun accessory for the PlayStation VR2 is US-based Virtual Rifle Systems. The company actually released some early designs for the controller which seemingly attached both PS VR2 Sense Controllers to the model and in turn, makes it a rifle.

These accessories will definitely enhance the shooting experience on PS VR2 and perhaps keep you happy until Sony releases its own version (if that happens). The original PS VR Aim Controller was released during the last leg of the PS VR system alongside a game called Farpoint. A few other games were updated to support the controller including Firewall and Bravo Team.
